Protecting the Family Home

Protecting the family home

Protecting the Family Home.

Are you concerned about protecting the Family Home for your children and/or grandchildren while allowing your surviving spouse,  civil partner or partner to live in the property?

If this is so, your property (or your share in it) can be put into a trust to protect the capital for your descendants.

You can set up the trust so that your surviving spouse or partner  can receive the income if they need to move to a care home, for instance, to help with the care fees, however the capital will be preserved within the trust.

Is this something  you would like to do as part of your estate planning?
