TESTAMENTARY FREEDOM? YES, BUT ONLY IF YOU MAKE YOUR WILL

Testamentary freedom  is a fundamental principle underpinning  succession law and you can only exercise such freedom  by making your Will. Only then, you can exclude people whom otherwise will inherit your estate from benefiting,  for instance your estranged espouse or children. Only then, you can include beneficiaries such as a cohabiting partner, stepchildren,  friends, charities, etc. whom will otherwise not inherit by law.
